Serge Lutens
É um ano animado para amantes (pode me incluir) do extraordinário Serge Lutens. Em setembro chega ao mercado La Vierge de Fer, fazendo parte da coleção vendida exclusivamente no Palais Royal, em Paris, aquela do belo frasco em formato de sino. É o segundo lançamento do ano, o primeiro foi La Fille de Berlin na coleção de distribuição seletiva. E o terceiro centrado numa flor: Une Voix Noire, de 2012, inspirado por Billie Holiday e que foca na flor icônica da cantora, a gardênia, La Fille de Berlin, na rosa, e La Vierge de Fer, no lírio.
O texto de divulgação escrito pelo próprio Lutens é grave e enigmático — nenhuma novidade para essa figura misteriosa. Mas uma pequena entrevista em inglês no site osmoz.com traz alguns esclarecimentos:
2/ La Vierge de Fer features lily. You have already worked the note in the highly esteemed ‘Un Lys’. Is the lily in La vierge de fer more virginal, or, on the contrary, more majestic?
SL: I would say that it’s more glorious. The other one was fresher, more lily-like in fact. It mostly played with lily’s whiteness. This one plays with the heady, or rather essential side (Translator’s note: There is a pun in French, between “capiteux” (heady) and “capital” (essential)). This lily hasn’t had its pollen removed. It has kept its anthers and its stamen. The lily that you’ll find here is an in-your-face, confrontational lily, once again.
